Rookies delve into the supernatural |
| In an attempt to help unstable and hopeless people, a priest finds himself in immense danger in which the goodness of his soul is tampered with. Directed by Stephen Zimmer, Shadows Light possesses a supernatural evil that haunts the lives of many people in a small town and forces them to combat good against evil. This film is the first in a series to surround the overall supernatural topic. Father Cuth Abelard, a priest, returns to his hometown in order to escape his exorcist practices for awhile and regain his heart after the passing of his mother. Abelard reunites with his childhood best friend, Ryker, who works at a café in town. Another employee of the café, former exotic dancer Dana Fontaine, has a personal problem looming on her mind. Her sister, who is currently still an exotic dancer, is trying to grab the attention of a wealthy group of people who surround themselves around affluent mystery man Ashton Legares, who is currently helping promote the candidacy of a US senator that will be beneficial to Legares’ alliance. ![]() Suddenly, perplexing murders occur in the city and people begin to fear for their lives. Dana dreads the gist of her sister’s life and turns to Abelard for assistance. Suspicion mounts as Abelard begins to believe that mystery man Legare’s true identity is different then what appears on the outside. Tormented by a young woman’s plea for help, Abelard finds himself on a journey to save Dana’s sister from the realms of evil in life. Struggles between good and evil present themselves as Abelard risks his own life and soul in an attempt to save another. Displaying an actor’s film debut, Shadows Light introduces Tom Phillips who plays the leading role of Father Cuth Abelard. Many other actors and actresses are attempting to establish themselves as well, including Scott Sullivan, who plays Ryker, and Tucky Williams, who plays Dana. The film also debuts filmmaker Stephen Zimmer, who currently has another short film entitled The Sirens that will be released to DVD later this year along with his first novel being published. Originally born in Denver, Colorado, Zimmer graduated from the Hardin-Simmons University with a visual communications degree. He then began his quest in the entertainment industry running a individual record label and video production company. He also took on the tasks of managing music artists and putting together an efficient music conference and film festival. Throughout his young career he directed many short films and commercials, fully transferring into writing and directing in 2004. ![]() The FX aptitude’s of Cineline Production artists Matt Perry and Sven Granlund are featured in Shadows Light. Along with Visual Effects Supervisor Dave Workman, the crew produces life like images angels and demons representing the battles of good and evil within the film. Their work includes the use of facial prosthetics and fully body suits. Actors, production crews, and even a director are introduced in this indie horror film, Shadows Light. Produced by developing company Ever After Media, joined with Cineline Productions, a successful supernatural thriller is created that will make you ponder the questions of good and evil and make you think about how far you would go to help another. |
