Warner Bros. has released a number of character-based Watchmen posters at the recent San Diego Comic Con featuring Rorschach, the Comedian, Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Dr. Manhattan and two generations of the Silk Spectres. Each poster has wonderfully captured the original comic series with the yellow Watchmen written vertically up the side and highlights each individual character with a quote.
I can remember skipping school to get my hands on the latest issue of Watchmen. I am excited at the possibilities, but also afraid of potential disaster. I can easily see this being grossly misinterpreted on the big screen. It's nice to see the newer comic adaptations being a lot darker and truer to the story and characters than in previous years (*cough* Fantastic Four *cough* Daredevil). The trailer and these newly released posters have reinvigorated my excitemnet though.
