In this third feature-length film, the characters are once again introduced, with a much domesticated Stith assimilating well into his adopted family as they plan for a gigantic hula festival. All too soon, Stith turns erratic again, a character-trait that is not his fault, discover Lilo and her older sister Nani - rather it is some programming bugs in the alien friend that cause him to act in ways inappropriate for living with a family of humans.
Recapturing some of the magic and enticement missing in Stitch: The Movie, this direct-to-video sequel follows the attempts of Stith to become domesticated, of Lilo to win the May Day hula competition, and Nani struggles to keep the motherless household together.
A heartwarming tale of family - no matter the makeup, the climax might be a little too much for a younger viewer, akin to E.T.'s climatic moment. With three Elvis Presley songs, bonus video clips on the origin of Stith, games & activities including the creating of Stith and other aliens like him, this DVD not only demonstrates the strength of family, but also shows the origins of Stith - and 625 other experiments like him. The bright colors, the action, the songs, and the sense of family all bring together the discovery of Stith's creation and background.
