A few suggestions for this Christmas, gamewise. |
| Merry Christmas, gamers! The shopping begins (or rather began a long time ago) and if you, or someone searching for the gamer is seeking a few shopping hints, then the creators here at One More List are here to give you some great ideas. And remember, if you are given a list that is mostly games or media related, then gift cards are the most prudent choice if you are unsure of what your recipient seeks. However, talk to your gamer. Ask them questions. After all, knowledge is purchasing power. LEGO Adventure Games A wise gamer once said that he could not believe that some of the most fun he’s had came from a LEGO licensed game. Talk about addictive! Great graphics, great gameplay, and some actual in-depth level design. For those who are searching for their modern standard, the LEGO adventure titles fit that bill. The great thing about the LEGO Star Wars titles is that they’re affordable for this Christmas season. Hopefully there will be plenty of copes of LEGO Batman and LEGO Indiana Jones to hold up against the waves of consumers. Wii Fit Before any of you point, laugh or make fun, if you haven’t tried Wii Fit, it’s a surefire way to get you thinking about getting healthy. Yes, there is somewhat of a sadness involved in motivation being bestowed by an entertainment device, but even some motivation is better than none. Nothing here is too difficult to start, and it’s easy to do your twenty to thirty minutes a day, three to five times a week. You barely recognize that you’re actually getting exercise. It helps you to promote reasonable goals and is something that can bring the entire family together. Fallout Series Fallout 3: Game of the Year 2008. Fallout and Fallout 2? Hopefully you can do what I did and find them both for the low price of $9.99 at your local mega mart that crushes small businesses while providing plenty of jobs to ungrateful employees worldwide. Digression activate! All of these games have a thorough and complex storyline with several branches leading to their own variable endings. Even with this Vista-clogged PC society, these now dated titles are nothing short of great gaming. Check them out if you can procure copies. They’d make great stocking stuffers. Destroy All Humans! Series Platform craziness. Not since the days of Blasto! And Crash Bandicoot have platformers had the potential to reign supreme. THQ did a great job of providing several multi-console releases, many of them priced just right for gift-giving. What better way to celebrate Christmas than with your favorite Crypto. Once again, testaments to intuitive controls, zany missions and free-roaming sandbox play. My Coach Series The DS has certainly made the shift from fun to educational more than any other system. Ubisoft has created games to either teach people other languages, improve their basic learning skills and even improve their lifestyle. Learn one of several languages, maybe even stop smoking. That’s right, My StopSmoking Coach will be coming out soon. If you’re interested in checking out the titles available to you, go to http://mycoachgames.us.ubi.com. |
