A Sneak Peek at some choice titles coming out in the second month of the summer of 2008!
Either you’ve had your fill of several June titles, or you’ve spent the entire time trying to pass the easy mode on Ninja Gaiden II for the past two weeks. Regardless, use this time to fatten up your wallets. Static Multimedia has six big recommendations for the month of July. You can be a surgeon, a rock star, an urban planner, an explorer, even a gun- or sword-for-hire. And then, after your done, cruise off in your Corvette or Chocobo. The choice is yours!

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2: July 1 2008

Rejoin Dr. Derek Stiles and his assistant Angie Thompson as they bring their much needed services to a refugee camp in Zakara, Africa. After eliminating GUILT, Dr. Stiles has become somewhat of a household name among Caduceus and the medical world. He still doesn’t let the fame go to his head as he focuses on his great love of helping patients. However, amongst the war-torn lands of Africa and the need for proper medical care, a disease thought long cured may be returning.

Unreal Tournament 3: July 7 2008

Already available for the PS3 and PC, Unreal Tournament 3 will soon be making its home amongst several Xbox 360 collector’s shelves the world over. Prepare to spread carnage with weapons such as the Enforcer, the Link Gun, and the Translocator. If weapons aren’t enough to sate your thirst for destruction, hop behind the wheel of the thick-treaded Leviathan, or lash out with the airbone Fury. With over a dozen arenas, new characters, and old favorites, Unreal Tournament 3 is more than just football with guns.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon: July 8 2008

Oh yes, Cid’s the star. Er, well, Chocobo is too, I guess. Journey to the town of Lostime, where a mysterious visitor is able to create dungeons based on the forgotten memories of the townsfolk. Cid believes that the areas around Lostime house a treasure capable of changing the world. Perhaps it may lie in one of the dungeons of Rafaello’s design? Use Cid’s inventions and the Class Change feature for Chocobo as you explore each dungeon in search of Cid‘s hope.

Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 1: July 15 2008

Really, no explanation required. For Wii and PS2 owners who lack the online capabilities of Rock Band, Electronic Arts is deciding to dig the mine a little deeper and offer the first Track Pack. For a suggested MSRP of $29.99, owners of the Wii and PS2 versions will get twenty extra songs. Based on the purchase prices found on XBox Live, the cost is comparable. If anything, you’ll be getting two more songs at the price of tax. However, as a word of advice, check the song list to see if its what you want.

City Life 2008 Edition: July 15 2008

Sim City on crack! It’s not just about buildings and money in this city sim. You have to balance the welfare and happiness of six different subcultures who require eight basic needs of city life. All the while, you must avoid villians, riots, natural disasters and not-so-natural disasters. Sporting a 360 degree rotation and zoom function, over thirty maps and five different environments, City Life 2008 is one for the hardcore sim enthusiast.

Soul Calibur IV: July 29 2008

Soul Calibur: A New Hope! The quest for the Soul Blades continues, but this time the Force will be with you. Relive your experiences with SC favorites and prepare for battle with the likes of Yoda and Darth Vader. Billed as the last chapter of the twin swords, we’re already looking at twenty-five playable characters and a fabled host of unlockable content and customizable combat. This is sure to be the most awaited title of Summer 2008.
