Knoxville, Tennessee's Disciple formed in 1991 in an effort to combine the loud, heavy metal music that they loved with their love of the Lord. Their latest album, Rise Up was released in June on Epic Records. The band is currently on tour in the US.


What's the last song that flat-out scared you?

Disciple: Britney Spears' "Toxic."

What artists have you discovered in the last 6-12 months and how has their work influenced yours?

The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Celine Dion....They all have a way of delivering a song like no one else can and so I want to replicate the passion and the delivery that fans like from these artists.

What other creative mediums would you ever care to dabble in? Why?

Knitting....looks fun.
