Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will take a break from working on the band's next album to head out east and play a handful of solo performances in August. Beginning on the first, Vedder will tour up the East Coast from Boston and close out with a two-night stand in Chicago. Vedder just finished a short tour with Pearl Jam on July 1.
This is a follow-up to Vedder's first solo tour in April, where he played in a group of sold out venues along the West Coast. During the spring tour, Vedder mixed some obscure Pearl Jam songs with songs from his soundtrack to the Sean Penn film, Into the Wild, as well as a healthy dose of cover songs. New Zealander Liam Finn will once again open for Vedder in August.
Tickets go on sale July 11 to general public, and to members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club on July 7.

Aug. 4-5: New York (United Palace Theatre)
