Awesome tunes for a booming heavy party that you don't want to die off! The Real McKenzies' whole attitude suggests not giving a flying crap about anything at all including their own family. The tunes reflect Scottish pipes mixed with electric guitars. Seems like it would be impossible to pull something like that off but they did and it works. "Smokin' Bowl" makes you feel comfortable with a familiar style to that of Nirvana that continues throughout the rest of the album.

It just keeps moving from there, as the tunes are easy to latch onto. Paul McKenzie's voice brings across the Irish feel without pulling you away from the music's flow.

There are some songs -- "Best Day Until Tomorrow", "13", and "The Skeleton And The Tailor" -- that would fit comfortably on a mix CD along with Papa Roach, Nirvana, and Linkin Park.

You gotta love the following passage in the album's liner notes: "If you were forgotten, or you feel you should have been included on this list and weren't, we suggest writing up a list of your own and purposely leaving us off it. Then we'll see how it feels!"
