Maroon 5's It Won't Be Soon Before Long rocks the house. That ain't no joke. This band rides a wonderful line between R&B/Soul and rock 'n roll and do it to perfection. Every song on the album is a potential firecracker, chart-topping single, with the already big "Makes Me Wonder" and fast ascending "Wake Up Call" (where singer Adam Levine pops a cap in the ass of his lover's lover after catching the two in bed together).
Song after song, riff after riff, Maroon 5 lay it down so perfectly it's a wonder they get as much guff as they do. This is as close to perfection as pop music can come (especially in a year where pop music is exceptionally dreadful and dull). I don't see why this won't make my top ten of the year come December.
