Biographical lovers will want to check out Last Lion: The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy by Peter S. Canellos (Editor). Youngest of the Kennedy children with the least expected of him, Ted Kennedy rose from the ashes of Chappaquiddick and the shadows of his brothers to become one of the country’s most powerful senators. This is the tale of that transformation, the story of a man whose public failures ultimately helped evolve him into a symbol of Democratic ideals.
Peter Canellos and a team of Boston Globe reporters give an in-depth look at one of the most iconic men in America, a man, who in spite of failing health, did his part to shape this country’s most historic presidential election.
