Marvel comics have experienced an unforeseen decrease in sales for their second fiscal quarter, resulting in a 3% slip. The company comments that much of the decrease is a result of the rising costs of paper products and of employees, while the company has also seen an increase in their interests in the digital medium.
Speculators about this drop have observed the number of well-sold comics coming out of Marvel at this time last year, including paperback editions of Civil War, as well as limited editions of The Dark Tower and The Death of Captain America.
