The UAE has planned to host a free book exhibit, with hopes of attracting western nations to their book fairs. In order to effect this the UAE has joined forces with the Combined Book Exhibit and London Book Fair to get American and British titles to the United Arab Emirate.
The fair is expected to carry well-known titles and HarperCollins has reportedly agreed to send 240 different books for the exhibit. There should be room for approximately 2,000 titles, in all. The exhibit, which will take place in Sharjah from October 29 to November 7, will aid Middle Eastern countries in becoming familiar with ordering popular titles for readers in their nations.
